The neo-Gothic gardens can be found directly in front of Tornielli Palace and were originally connected to the palace by an underground passage. The gardens became public in 1920. A lengthy and careful redevelopment between 2007 and 2011 involving its botanic features as well as its paintings and architectural decorations, has restored the gardens to their original glory. The gardens house centuries-old trees, flowerbeds containing indigenous species, a round pavilion in the classic style topped with a floral decoration, a perfectly-preserved ice-house, frescoed walls in the style of Gothic architecture, which give the gardens a unique charm.
